Follow up | Summit 2021 | Thank you!

This year, almost 800 people signed up to take part in the digital Hertie Summit on 3 and 4 June 2021. Over the two days, we held over 40 events with different formats together with our Fellows.But a large part of the success of this year’s Summit is down to you personally, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your contribution.

The "Essay Prize Democracy and Economy" goes into the second round!

Together with WirtschaftsWoche, the Hertie Foundation is awarding prizes for the best essays on the topic of "Democracy and the Economy". Prof. Michael Hüther is a member of the jury. As an economic researcher and director of the Institute of the German Economy, the relationship between "market economy and democratic cohesion" has been on his mind for a long time. Initiative Starke Schule | Virtueller Stammtisch

The virtual regulars' table is a regular exchange for all members of the Strong School Initiative and open to anyone who is thinking of becoming a member. Every 2nd Thursday of the month, always at 3.30 p.m., we meet without a fixed topic to exchange experiences online, because we know how good it is for us to stay in conversation and in contact with each other. "Build your future" | Online Seminar | 09.06.21

The project Build Your Future; provides materials for lessons (grades 7 to 13) on current social problems based on the innovation and problem-solving method Design Thinking. The online seminar answers the question of how the topic of career orientation can be dealt with in the classroom in a student-centred and production-oriented way. The focus is on the creativity and problem-solving process of the student teams.
