fellows & friends ist eine programmübergreifende Initiative für alle Hertie Fellows. Zu diesem Kreis gehören aktuelle und ehemalige Studierende, Geförderte, Forscherinnen und Forscher der Stiftung und ihrer Projekte.

Expertenaustausch und Netzwerk

Das Online-Forum ist die Plattform für stiftungsübergreifenden Austausch aller 5000 Hertie Fellows miteinander. Es bietet seinen Mitgliedern - Wissenschaftler/innen wie Praktiker/innen - innovative Fachgruppen, Expertenforen, interessante berufliche Perspektiven und vieles mehr.

"Build your future" | Online Seminar | 09.06.21

The project Build Your Future; provides materials for lessons (grades 7 to 13) on current social problems based on the innovation and problem-solving method Design Thinking. The online seminar answers the question of how the topic of career orientation can be dealt with in the classroom in a student-centred and production-oriented way. The focus is on the creativity and problem-solving process of the student teams.

Initiative Starke Schule | Virtueller Stammtisch

The virtual regulars' table is a regular exchange for all members of the Strong School Initiative and open to anyone who is thinking of becoming a member. Every 2nd Thursday of the month, always at 3.30 p.m., we meet without a fixed topic to exchange experiences online, because we know how good it is for us to stay in conversation and in contact with each other. The next date is 20.05.21, we are looking forward to all participants!

Summit 2021 - "More than just living together: Pulling together"

We are very pleased to invite you to the digital Hertie Summit 2021 on 3-4 June 2021. You can register for events on different topics such as dealing with dementia, integration and belonging, human rights in Belarus or hate and disinformation on the internet. Under the motto “More than just living together: Pulling together” we are offering 40 workshops, lectures, and workshops this year.

Hertie Chapter Frankfurt | virtual hangout on May 27th | 8 pm

It has been a while since we all connected and there have been some slight changes in the Frankfurt Chapter: please welcome Kim Reichel, who will join as a second chapter lead in Frankfurt! Kim graduated from the Hertie School in 2015 and is working at KfW Development Bank. This is of course something that we should celebrate! Unfortunately, we still cannot do any on-site event, hence we thought it would be nice to have at least a small virtual get-together on May 27th at 20.00h.

Martin Fugmann: Personalisierung des Lernens als Nordstern der Unterrichts-und Schulentwicklung

The pandemic has given an enormous boost to digital school development: Many reservations have fallen and the overall pace of equipment has been accelerated. This necessitates fundamental and important discussions of all didactic-methodological questions of digital teaching and school development under the auspices of digitality. This lecture focuses on the question of how these current developments in teaching and school development are implemented in practice.

Interview with Dr. Henning Beck

Dr Henning Beck is a neuroscientist, bestselling author and former Hertie PhD scholar at the Graduate School of Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience in Tübingen. He won the German Science Slam Championship in 2012 and now lectures about the brain. How the stage career came about, why we should beware of the "brain fog" in Corona times, and how the brain can "attract" creative ideas, the 37-year-old explains in our interview.
