This event takes place in English.

As many of you may know, the Hertie School was founded by the Hertie Foundation which is based in Frankfurt am Main. Until today the Hertie Foundation remains the Hertie School’s major partner. The Hertie Foundation also has an office on the 4th floor of the Hertie School building, which works at the interface between Germany’s capital and Frankfurt am Main and maintains a broad network of partners, friends and supporters.

Although we are in the same building, currently there are few possibilities of exchange between Hertie School students and Hertie Foundation employees. For this reason, we would like to invite you to our series of regular lunches on an informal basis in Berlin:

Current HSoG students are cordially invited to the Q Café – Quartier Zukunft (Friedrichstraße 181, 10117 Berlin), 12:30 – 13:30 for a lunch with us.

DATES:
+ Tue, 30.10.2018
+ Thur, 08.11.2018
+ Mon, 19.11.2018
+ Thur, 29.11.18
+ Mon, 10.12.2018

In addition to getting to know the Hertie Foundation, you can learn more about the other three major projects of the Hertie Foundation that are located at the Berlin office:

First, the fellows & friends Programme, an overarching alumni programme for all the former students and scholars of the Hertie Foundation as well as its projects. The fellows & friends Programme also includes current students of the Hertie School in its activities.

Second, the Hertie-Innovationskolleg (Center for Advanced Practitioners) which aims to attract the best young talent, as well as experienced experts with outstanding ideas for social innovations who want to use entrepreneurial, proactive thinking and approaches to develop and implement their own ideas – ideas that are of great benefit to society and have a multiplier effect.

Third, the Deutscher Integrationspreis (German Integration Prize) is an initiative of the Hertie Foundation that aims to find, support and finance great projects which strengthen social cohesion in cooperation with refugees, support the participation of refugees in our democracy, offer innovative solutions and are ideally initiated by people with a migration experience.

Please, note a limited number of spaces (8 seats per lunch) is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your registration is considered binding and in the interest of fellow students wanting to participate, we kindly request you to not register for more than one lunch. Also, please cancel as soon as possible if you are unable to attend. Of course, the bill is on us!

If you have further questions, please write Julia Michalsky (MichalskyJ@ghst.de) an e-mail.
